Mellersh & Harding continued to utilise their expertise
of the Fitzrovia office market by advising Lothbury Investment Managers in
securing a final letting in 35 Gresse Street and also advising private equity
firm, New Nordic Capital, in acquiring over 2,000 sq ft in 40 – 44 Newman
Street.
35 Gresse Street, a 7,000 sq ft office building ear-marked
for redevelopment by Lothbury in June 2019, had a lease expiring on the 4th
floor and Mellersh & Harding successfully secured a back-to-back deal with
the new tenant, Aesthetics Media, at a rent of £61.00 per sq ft.
In addition, following an extensive market search in the Fitzrovia,
Soho and Covent Garden sub-markets, New Nordic Capital (NNC) successfully
secured the 1st floor at 40 – 44 Newman Street. The offices have impressive
natural light and the stylish finishes complement NNC’s image. Following over
two months of negotiations the deal successfully completed at a rent of £68.00
per sq ft.
Mellersh & Harding have been active in the Fitzrovia
market, having recently let 5,000 sq ft at 99 Gower Street and have advised
Derwent London and Standard Life on various office buildings over the last five
years.
